max’s relationship with nancy is complicated because max doesn’t feel like she deserves another older sibling figure but nancy is So Wonderful to her (because nancy Gets It, in a way). meanwhile holly definitely likes max and max indulges because it pisses mike off

it’s especially awkward because they only have the one guest bedroom so at first max is sleeping in the basement which pisses mike off so much he offers to share his room instead so he can have the basement to himself. max declines this of course.

madwheeler au in which post s3 karen invites susan and max to stay with the wheelers so that susan can save up money to buy a new place but with ted being his lazy self karen and susan end up having a Situationship so now mike and max are forced to live together
