ಕೃಷ್ಣಾನಂದ ಕಾಮತರನ್ನು ಒಂದೇ ಪದದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವರಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದರೆ ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮಗೆ ಸಿಗುವುದು "ಸವ್ಯಸಾಚಿ" ಎಂಬ ಪದ. ಆದರೆ ಕಾಮತರ ಅರಿವು ಮತ್ತು ಅಭಿವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ಹರಹು ಈ ಪದವನ್ನೂ ಮೀರುವಂಥದ್ದು. ಶಿಕ್ಷಣತಜ್ಞ, ವಿದ್ವಾಂಸ, ಬರಹಗಾರ, ಛಾಯಾ ಚಿತ್ರಗ್ರಾಹಕ, ಚಿತ್ರಕಾರ ಹೀಗೆ ಅವರ ಆಸಕ್ತಿ ಮತ್ತು ತಜ್ಞತೆಯ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳು ಹಲವು.
