I have Dr colleagues doing 2-3 jobs and they can’t even account for 1M/month with the 3jobs They literally leave a 24hrs job to another 48hrs job They work round the clock They have bills to pay, exams to write and family to cater for. It pains me when they rant to me about this

Is it not common sense? The more your Doctor is busy chasing shadows, all in the name of side hustles to make ends meet, The less time he/she has to hone his/her skills and be the best version of himself/herself, for you. Time is FINITE.
This learn a skill talk... Imagine your mum needs a heart surgery and they bring a web developer to do the surgery. No, don't say god forbid. Imagine it. Nigerians don't know the gravity of things. Imagine you go see a gynecologist and it's the babe that sold wig for you

I've said it before, I do not want to learn an additional skill I spent 8 years in med school, 1 year Housemanship and 1 year NYSC and you're telling me to go and learn tech again?
During the last NARD strike, a friend of mine got me to open up to her and vent my frustrations about the present day realities of the Nigerian doctor. After my ranting, she said "that's why you need another stuff to do". I calmly told her that I don't like it when people...

Being a Doctor is where I find my purpose. I just want the right environment to fulfil and enjoy my purpose. Refusing to "do some other stuff" does not make me any less of a hustler. No, scratch that. I'm not interested in being a "hustler". Thank you.

Purpose is that one thing you were created for, which you must succeed at, otherwise, every other thing which you succeed at would not matter. I'm currently not using all the tech skills I acquired, because that's not my purpose.

If Nigeria was working, should a healthcare worker even need a side hustle to survive? Or is it until I start hawking on the streets before she'll know I'm a "hustler", and that I'm "ambitious"? And I think this is a mistake most "ambitious people/hustlers" make subconsciously

"Learn a skill" I picked up coding skills while in school. I do many other things in the digital space. She's not aware of any of these. So she felt medicine was the only thing I did, and so I should "learn a skill" Lol

I saw the video and shook my head. We've not spoken since then. She must have probably seen me as not hardworking enough, "unambitious", and lacking of the hustling spirit (she is a hustler; jack of all trades kind of hustler)

say that to me. It's just like saying I should learn a skill. What skill is more important than the life-saving skills that I sacrificed the entire of my youth to learn? The next day, she made a video and captioned it "if e reach your turn, get only one source of income"

I wanted the timeline to be calm before I shared my two cents on this topic. This particular sentiment is precisely why it's valid to say that modern women don't know the traits to look out for in a man. All they've been taught are what they should expect from men and how men
Am I the only that gets turned off by guys that are not independent? Like those ones that are still running random errands at home like they're teenagers. What do you mean you had to drive your sister to the market or take your mom to an event. Learn to set boundaries or avoid me

"We are mandated by the Nigerian law to only employ those that have completed NYSC for full-time positions". And that was how that interview ended.

Last year, I interviewed with a big clinic with branches in major cities in Nigeria & other African countries. I did so well at the interview, and I was invited for the final vetting by the CMD. "Have you done your NYSC?" "Not yet" "I'm sorry, we can't continue this conversation"

THE HARD TRUTH, the hard reality; “When God wants to make a man powerful, He doesn't crown him first; He breaks him. First, He strips away your comfort, your pride, your plans, until all that's left is what's real. That isn't punishment, that's training.” Please be careful not

Doctors and rich people in one sentence? Remove it sharp sharp. Nigerian doctors are very poor people. They have no gold that can be dug
A useless gold digger, she targets Drs and rich people Reminds me of someone who targets female Drs and health workers on here Please be very careful of whom you let into your life, very few people like you for you They have an agenda I was a victim but God saved me

“I gave approval for the appointment of 40 doctors, we only got 11” - “ There is no patriotism on the part of the doctors on their country…..” - “before women doctors don’t travel abroad, but now they do, and its one of the most unfortunate things that is happening to us” - Gov.

Wanna guess the entry level of Medical Doctors who spend more time at work with over 100 hour shifts in a week? Less than 250k! Listen to @FaithDaBender’s story Yet NARD should not go on strike. This is how they’re abusing Doctors. Strike please!

Enough said! Doctors working hours should be regulated. You can’t trust the judgment of an overworked doctor. Even the most skilled doctors can miss what’s right in front of them when exhaustion sets in.
