Wow Dragonfired by @jzacharypike was simply outstanding & dollops of fun and satire and a fantastic end to the #DarkProfitSaga - I would go as far to say it has to be one of the best modern SFF I have read esp given the parallels the authors draws to modern finance #Orconomics

It’s been way too long since I’ve picked up physical books. Time to fix that. I’ve been meaning to crack open Josiah Bancroft’s The Hexologists for a while now. Dead Silence by S. A. Barnes just caught my eye. Time to curl up with the cats by the fireplace.

Send your thoughts to the victims. Pray to God for their benefit, or if you don’t worship, remember their humanity and the lives we lost. And then act accordingly. Donate if you can. Use your voice and vote to prevent this pain. If you don’t do both, you’re not doing either.

My thoughts are with my old friends and neighbors, and all the people of central Maine. My prayers are for those suffering. My actions and my dollars and my votes continue to fight for sensible gun control and a safer world where this sort of massacre isn’t an everyday occurrence

In the coming days, the cynics and liars will tell you not to politicize this tragedy, not to disrespect the victims. To Hell with them. Republicans have spent years-decades-building a world where mass shootings are common. They will never see a good time to fix the problem.

Now, though, they’re a byword for inaction. They’re the cynical flip of lying lips that the cowardly and corrupt can shoot towards a distant tragedy for public absolution. They’re a nominal social toll to pay as we speed down a bloody road.
