you never truly understand just how MUCH yosuke brushes off until you actually sit and process it. the entirety of his stay until yu comes along, he brushes off the hatred inaba has for him. he snaps when SAKI is attacked, not him. he defends others, not himself
@spoikycat the progression of his social link is probably one of my favorites because he consistently brushes off everything snd you get to see how desperate and lonely is and how that all feeds into his inferiority complex. Yu actively encouraging him and challenging his mindset

Notice how she had to take the steps to transition? Being trans is a journey for everyone who is involved. Remember to be brave in the steps you take to achieve your goals. I love you

expanding on this: the way the village is massacred is even more meaningful in a context of imperialism because they are killed with the purpose of becoming weapons for Makima (the Metropole) the same way Colonies (SEA) were devastated to bring resources to the Metropole (Japan)
lately I've been thinking a lot about indigenous Angel.. i feel like there's something to be explored in terms of how Angel's village seemed to be indigenous to their land and how Makima's arrival can represent the violence of colonization
