honestly artists, start charging MORE to weed out people who do not appreciate your work π the worst customers I ever had were all when I used to undercharge
Commission prices are out of control. Simple as. 300 bucks for a ref sheet or basic drawing?? Hell no. That's 10 HOURS of my life I would have had to spend to be able to afford that. Actually, it's definitely more than that because the government taxes wages.

I kinda wanna go through and make a video about how long commissions take because I legitimately earn $0.50/hour sometimes. Every time i see someone complain about prices I wanna scream like god forbid an artist earn more than minimum wage even though we pay higher taxes

Okay, pardon me for being mad, but the fucking audacity of that guy. Earns $30/hr, lives in SW FL, HAS A FURSUIT, yet thinks $300 for a ref sheet is too expensive? Grand majority of furries I know understand why fursuits & art are a pricey luxury & respect the craft (1)

Bro here earns 30/hour. Amateur, or commission artists usually charge 10/hour or even less! Please let us earn a life....

Do non artist ever think about the fact that thatβs 10 hours and usually MORE of our time too? I charge about $150 for reference sheets and oftentimes I take 12-15 hours on them. Thatβs $12.5-$10 hours in average. We need to make a living too omg.
