This doesn’t discredit rebels achievements at all. And nor does this mean Andor is without criticisms. They’re different storytelling formats (episode count, length, tone, audience) Rebels is truly one of my fav series of all times. Andor is too, for dif reasons !! 4/5

One is made for mature audience and is considered masterclass level of filmmaking. The other is a WONDERFUL show that is written for a diff audience that has more weaker random bits but when it shines it SHINES. It’s just not as dense in your need for ability to understand 3/4

Rebels just isn’t the same show. It’s peak in its own ways. Two amazing things can exist at the same time but we can also acknowledge rebels’ shortcomings as pretty much every Andor episode strikes deep intense meaning breaking down fascism. 2/4

Ps. I think the Andor fandom too does have some elitism that is and is also very not justified. Andor is a different type of show. It’s masterclass filmmaking for a different audience. It’s consistently peak TV in a tonally intensely mature HBO type way. 1/4

Andor & Rebels are for different audiences but are both amazing. These are my two fav SW shows. There’s nothing wrong with having opinions. I think some of the rebels/ahsoka fandom is overreacting at critiques & Andor fans can be too intense about the differences sometimes!! 4/5

A masterfully executed bit of filmmaking residing as a political thriller with HBO level dialogue/scripts breaking down the horrors of fascism in intense ways. Rebels has amazing story with tones that run deep but the dialogue/filmmaking is meant for a different audience ! 3/5

People freaking out over people expressing their opinion on lightsaber usage is so dumb. But also people talking like EVERYTHING Andor or the prequels does is better than rebels is crazy too. I think Andor and Rebels are WILDLY different in tone. Andor objectively is 2/5
