My husband is a pharmacist at an independently owned retail pharmacy that also services LTC facilities and group homes. His board has told him that they are no longer a priority in getting the vaccine.

My hometown of Keyser, WV is a perfect example of how devastating this virus can be if it is not respected. Many didn’t wear masks or believed it was a hoax and now almost 100% of residents in a nursing home are positive and there’s been 11 deaths including my grandma.

Don’t mistake my passion for negativity, or my authenticity for aggression. I am emboldened to speak because I must be. Just because I am not happy about injustice does not mean I am not happy.
