Today I went on campus for the 4th time since the pandemic started for a guest lecture on research methods - the first time I've been in class with undergrads since March 2020. WOW I didn't realize how much I have missed being with students in real time. I always leave inspired.

Facilitating a K-3 philosophy class this morning and we are talking about how we know things are real and got this response from a younger student: "I know things are real because I feel grateful for them" My heart❤️

All social and ecological systems interact in a complex web of relations. These are referred to as socio-ecological systems. Understanding complex socio-ecological systems is important in a world that is shifting at rapid rates. https://t.co/UxuxHYnsT3

Rainy day wondering walks are the best– wild orchards, puddle stomping, banana slugs, snails and mud! Ss: Can I call you scientist? Researcher: Only if I can call you scientist too! 🌧️🌿💚🍎🔍

Remember the grief gushing forth over seeing Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris in flames? It took less than 200 years to build: these giants take millennia. Allowing them to be cut down is abominable.

Pls @jjhorgan @KatrineConroy just....please act now. This should be illegal. I saw stumps of 1000 year old trees @SaveFairyCreek flagging tape on 2000 year old yellow cedars. It’s like destroying Pantheon or the Sistine Chapel to make a buck. Enough already. #oldgrowth #bcpoli

We're lucky to spend another Friday noticing & Wondering with friends! We noticed the salmonberries are ripening, we noticed leaves traveling downstream, we wondered, "where does the water go? What would it be like to travel the world as water?"

Phenology is not just the timing of seasonal rhythms and cycles, but rather the SYNCHRONICITY between two or more organisms in rhythm. Our Phenology Framework describes these 10 social, ecological, and cosmological rhythms: https://t.co/wssaIIel4e
