More than 100 SMSD middle and high school students had the unique opportunity to participate in an AWS DeepRacer competition. Competitors programmed and raced self-driving model cars, learning new technology and engineering skills.

Congratulations to Sr C#63 Brett Tickle in earning HM all-UKC OL. Brett had 32 pancakes and didn’t allow a sack all year. Brett was a scrappy, intelligent, tough leader in the middle of our OL.

The OL was unreal and earned my choice for MVP! 365 rush yards and clean pockets all night! RT Jack Richards had 10 pancakes, LG @SethGoins25 and RG James Dykes had 8 each. C Brett Tickle had 7 and TE @BradenPGriggs added 4 more! Incredible effort! @Football_DeSoto

🏆Congrats to SMSD's Cyber Competition Teams for an impressive finish in Wichita State's Capture the Flag Event! After 27 hrs of online competition, 9 SMSD students on 2 teams claimed top spots! Team Hack-CAA won the competition and SMHackIT! finished 4th/14! #RealWorldLearning
