Auburn became a Nike school, finally put the championship banners up we’ve been wanting for decades, and announced the retirement of Cam’s jersey. Who says they don’t listen to us? 😆.

This was my first real brush with grief and it happened at a pretty young age. I don’t talk about it much but it’s another reason my Mom’s death hit extra hard and why I’ve learned to put my armor up so much.

This week was the anniversary of my Maw Maw’s passing from ovarian cancer. It often goes undetected and I want to raise awareness about it as best as I can. It didn’t save her life but it may save someone else’s 🤍

I didn’t realize until today that bama finished TWENTIETH in the final AP poll in the 1941 season in which they claimed a National Championship. That’s why we have to take their complaints with a grain of salt LOL

A funny unintended consequence of the newly claimed natties is now everyone in the CFB world is going back and scrutinizing bama’s claimed championships and realizing a bunch of them aren’t legit 😅

The best thing to come out of today for me is the long overdue recognition that the 2004 Auburn team is getting. They’ve got a special place for all of us who there. Hard Fighting Soldiers forever. Rest easy Brother Chette, you’re greatly missed 🙏.

Auburn played an insanely difficult schedule that season and USC did not. Four wins against top 10 teams (top 15 including the Tennessee rematch). USC also almost lost their last regular season game to unranked UCLA. They weren’t invincible, never played a defense like Auburn’s.
Every Auburn fan that has ever (rightly) given Bama grief for their 1941 title should hang their heads in disgrace. None of the new titles were recognized by major championship authorities. The 2004 team was undefeated, sure, but they weren't beating 2004 USC and we all knew it.
