Did you know that the word “computer” originally was a job title for a human? What do you think will happen to the word “programmer” or “developer”?

A playful take on the role of Generative AI in our products - here I describe LLMs in our systems using archetypes, which I find to be a fun and thought-provoking way of thinking about emerging patterns. Let me know what you think! https://t.co/aWVs5ADy9w

Let's try this again ... this time slightly more specific. Ooo so close ChatGPT! So close ... Also interesting that getting a white background is consistently a problem!

A very simple example. Prompt = "Draw three horizontal lines on a white background" First picture is from OpenAI, and second picture is from Midjourney

Both DALL-E and Midiourney have a very strong bias for elaborate pictures. It is surprisingly difficult to get them to draw simple things without a lot of decoration. Try it!

Interesting how when you get a name for something, you start to see it everywhere. After learning about this concept at the #WTWO workshop at #DOES23 I am finding examples of it all over the place. Now that it's "officially" a word, we can start being more intentional with it!

In this article, I describe the curious story behind the word "Slowification" that we use @StevenJSpear and I use in "Wiring the Winning Organization." TL;DR: There's no word in English that conveys "slow down to speed up." So we made one up. https://t.co/q9azlsKdMR

I keep thinking about this simple yet crucial line from @StevenJSpear at the #DOES23 WTWO Seminar "Every business starts every day with a set of problems. The ones that can solve them sooner: they win." Going into Monday excited to apply new ideas to unlock our potential!

In my experience the main driver for RCA is simply this: it's what customers ask for. Not once has a customer ever asked "What did you learn?" after we had an incident (I wish they would!). Conversely, they do specifically ask for an RCA ... @norootcause https://t.co/OeZHD45Ja4

There are two approaches to doing post-incident analysis: the (traditional) root cause analysis (RCA) perspective the (more recent) learning from incidents (LFI) perspective In the RCA perspective,…

I had a great time making new friends, listening to inspiring speakers, and presenting my own talk on building GenAI products at #DOES2023 🙂 Thanks to everyone that made this all a success!

As we've started adding AI into our security products, I've been thinking about how we will build AI products securely. After playing around with some LLMs at home, here are my initial thoughts. https://t.co/LZb856eUgZ
