In welke sprookjes gelooft jouw bedrijf?

While listening and reading about #EffectiveAltruism, I’m wondering about the need to express our extinction probability in numbers (especially very “accurately”). There is a risk that we take these numbers themselves too seriously and forget other kinds of suffering. Thoughts?

Loved this talk by @Mappletons on visual storytelling: https://t.co/t6aRxhqQk4 In it, she refers to “Metaphors we compute by” by Tim Rohrer, which was hard to find. I dug it up through the magic of the wayback machine: https://t.co/8ipFmWCrxC

For f*ck sakes. Just heard my old Dutch design team at Degreed all got laid off. Who is hiring? Send me a dm. It’s a group of truly amazing humans and designers. ❤️

Frontend tooling is weird. Running `npm audit fix —force` multiple times. Sometimes it sees 11 vulnerabilities, others 22. How is anyone getting stuff done using this toolchain?

Just got assaulted with a tennis ball while riding my bike, thrown by two guys on a scooter. It went by so quickly, and they were gone by so fast… It’s frustrating that I can’t really do anything about it. 🤬

Love this take by @shawnblanc: the point of reading is being introduced to new ideas. 🧠 Too often we forget the gist of a book, while focussing on details. @readwise helps, but I’m still looking for ways to capture the overall theme of a book better…

Waanzin. https://t.co/sTnnNDtHwJ

Simply apply SHAP and other methods to interpret your machine learning model, paste those charts into a report and you're done? Unfortunately, if you do, you're likely to make a mistake. Avoid these pitfalls when interpreting your machine learning model.👇

Been trying out @getmatterapp for a while, but seriously considering going back to @instapaper. Sent a whole bunch of articles to my queue to be reading this Sunday, but they are nowhere to be found. Seriously disappointing. Hope I get access to @readwiseio reader soon!

I was wondering why spaCy, trained via prodigy, didn’t find my custom architecture. Turns out, you need the `-F <file>` flag to load the code first. This flag isn’t listed in the CLI help message…
