MB timetable is out and I've just been thinking about the best approach to preparing for it. I went back to check my book and OMG, this book is loaded. Below is just an excerpt but I assure you there's so much more to gain. It covers every aspect of exams preps.

Two weeks ago, I was terrified. My test scores weren’t failing — but they weren’t saving me either. Yesterday, our exam timetable dropped. Everyone panicked… except me. Something had changed. Not outside me — inside me. Here’s what flipped everything;

Meditation grows your prefrontal cortex and shrinks the amygdala. Translation: more focus, less overthinking.

If you study in the same spot every day, your brain starts associating that space with focus. That’s environmental conditioning — use it to your advantage

You ever study for hours, but forget it all in the exam hall? It’s not stupidity. It’s stress. And stress kills recall faster than anything else. Learn how to stop it 👇 https://t.co/k8MiiWWLww

The night before an exam, I wasn’t scared of the questions. I was scared of blanking out. Now I know — anxiety blocks recall. Calm brings it back. 📘

Laughter lowers cortisol. A good meme mid-study might actually help you remember better

Learning under pressure releases norepinephrine — a little helps focus, too much kills it. That’s why balance matters

Omo, med school is testing my limits again. Timetable just dropped, and suddenly, “balance” feels like a myth. I promised to post daily till year’s end—now discipline is fighting fatigue. But something shifted this week, and I learnt why intensity always loses;

Too much caffeine raises cortisol and blocks adenosine — your brain’s “rest signal.” More isn’t better. Sip smart

Revising before bed improves recall. Your brain rehearses new info while you sleep.

Short naps (20–30 minutes) improve alertness and memory consolidation. Just don’t nap too long — you’ll drift into deep sleep and wake groggy.

I’m a Nigerian medical student who almost gave up on my dreams last year. Not because I wasn’t smart— but because I was lost. Then one decision changed everything. It gave me clarity, direction, and purpose I’d never felt before. Here’s what happened next;
