Even here, in this “perfect equality” society, “17 percent of the people [would] have 45 percent of all the accumulated savings in the whole society.”.

In The Vision of the Anointed, Sowell imagines a hypothetical situation where individuals, starting at age 20, earn the same income, get the same raises, save the save amount, and spend the same amount over several decades.
