It's messy and stupid and fucked-up. The fact that some rich entitled fucko can break things just because money puts the lie to norms and regulations is hard to swallow. It's ugly and terrible and shouldn't be everybody else's problem. But it is. And fuck it. Time to move on.

I want to keep signaling "get the fuck out" both because I'll miss what I lose as I move away from this skunked, fucked-over place AND because I want to push others to find their way to making the same hard decision to accept that shit is fucked and status quo is not tenable.

That's where I've been getting. That's where I've gotten. It's not that there aren't pieces of twitter worth caring about or mourning the loss of, worth wishing you could hold on to. But they are gone, or going. That upside is evaporating under billionaire tantrum fascism.

But maybe there is a point where you see other people saying "I can't conscionably be part of this, even passively", and you decide whether you agree. Where you make the shitty hard choice to let go of the bits you do love to say, yeah, same. Fuck. Same.

And that's the shitty unavoidable moment where this goes from "I don't want to be here" to "why do you, you specifically, want to keep being here?" Which, I'm not good at conflict or confrontation. I am a compromiser, I understand that shit is always complicated. But.
