"Think of culture as a coastline hit by a century of tsunamis: feminism, the sexual revolution, no-fault divorce, birth control, abortion, high-speed internet, smartphones, and social media. Each wave crashes in and then drags everything back out to sea, reshaping the landscape.

Therapy has replaced religion in the West... But more specifically, I would say that it has replaced confession and repentance found in historic Christianity. Instead of confessing to priest, who then gives you practical and spiritual guidance to make positive changes in your

Most things worth doing are worth doing weekly. How would your life benefit from doing something 52 times a year (once a week)? How about 104 times a year (twice a week)? Think of the difference that little tweak would make this next year.

James 1:2 talks about letting endurance or steadfastness have its full effect "so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing." Underdevelopment in endurance or steadfastness is immature.

Psalm 119:4 says that "you have commanded your precepts to be kept diligently." Diligently means with steady, earnest effort. Flaky, immature inconsistency is disobedience to God's command.

Churches don’t drift into mission. We can’t be passive or apathetic when it comes to being on mission to lost people. We can’t just hope our churches grow. We can never turn off mission and intentionality. We reap what we sow.
