Not for the first time, seems like a real rookie communications error. and on something so seemingly easy. I just don't get it.

Confusing that president would summarily dismiss a coalition ministerial appointment without seeming to give any reason?? Now rumours abound about unauthorised trip vs some kind of lottery exposé. If there is a decent reason, why not get ahead of the story?? How hard is that?.

A generous article from Khumalo. Using the frankly ignorant and moronic claim of the Capitec CEO to instead explore some of the most interesting (imo) new research trying to explain the extent of SA unemployment. More stuff coming in this vein — watch this space!.

Zombie idea that just will not die. No, it is not true that “Stats SA doesn’t count self-employed people”. Take a look at any survey (Stats SA or others). Perhaps consider that maybe Stats SA & the people who study SA labour markets are not morons.

I suppose that, fundamentally, this is not a new thing. (this extract is from Blame Me on History, by William Bloke Modisane, which I am reading right now and finding absolutely staggering. First published in 1963, and ofc banned shortly thereafter by the apartheid government)

This is Ehud Olmert for crying out loud. And yet so many of my liberal American acquaintances, especially, just defend & equivocate, or at best say nothing after having defended & equivocated before. It's obscene. What point do things have to reach for them to critically reflect?

As things have just become worse and worse, I just no longer know how to express the horror and rage and. confusion. How people I know to be capable of self-reflection and empathy just ignore this, just justify, just rationalise, just equivocate.
