"I am a loser." "I am amazing." In depressed and non-depressed patients, OFC responds equally during negative judgments, but OFC responses during positive self-judgments are nearly absent in those with high depression scores! https://t.co/8XggwbjnYC

No it is NOT the default mode network! We are reporting a brain region and its connected network that is causally important for constructing a sense of physical self - when perturbed, a sense of dissociation is induced. https://t.co/tU6HrtZsGi

In the first of its kind, investigators at Stanford Healthcare recorded simultaneously from multiple sites within the brain’s switchboard (thalamus) and mapped the pathways for seizure propagation in the brains of patients with refractory epilepsy. Surprising and novel findings:

Initial S.A.F.E.R Trial (MGH, UNM, UWisc & Yale) data presented @neurocritical today: 295 patients had Ceribell-EEG & 670 had cEEG. Same PREDICTIVE value with both EEGs: If the first 1-hour of Ceribell-EEG has no epileptic abnormality, risk of seizures in the next 72hrs is <5%!!!

Where fMRI gets it wrong: Less deactivation = activation & native brain space = standard MNI space. What intracranial EEG reveals about the brain's functional architecture in mm scale is astonishing! Fig4 is must see! https://t.co/LhVP4myv1p

(1/8) Delighted to announce our new results on medial frontal cortex’s role in performance monitoring and cognitive control! Neurons formed domain-general representations of errors, conflict, and conflict probability, while preserving task-specific info. https://t.co/y3gdvGxBXA

In this paper, we are discussing CAUSALITY seriously and how much our beloved Neuroscience has been trapped in the correlational web of non-sensical stuff. It was great to see @shansiddiqi, @foxmdphd, @KordingLab in action during the writing of this work. https://t.co/QzyrqXE0Ig
