After South Carolina’s pro day concluded, premiere draft prospects Jalon Kilgore and Brandon Cisse each made time to come over and speak with Colts’ scout Anthony Coughlan. Each defender noted they had talked with the team at the combine in Indianapolis.

Jalon Kilgore getting reps in with a representative of the New York Giants. The scout led nearly all the DB drills at South Carolina’s pro day, coaching up Kilgore, Brandon Cisse and DQ Smith.

Talking with potential first-round pick DB Jalon Kilgore earlier today, when he mentioned the Colts as a team he’d met with throughout the draft process. Here’s his response to what that process was like:

Got to chat with S/DB DQ Smith, who contributed in a multitude of ways across his four years with the program. He returned punts and kickoffs in addition to playing safety. Feels like someone a team would take a flyer on. Could play outside corner or nickel along with safety.

DE Bryan Thomas Jr says he’s talked with just about every team here today. In January, he participated in the 2026 East-West Shrine Bowl in Frisco, TX. Started all 12 games, notched 41 tackles, 12 for loss, and 3 forced fumbles.

Here’s DL Nick Barrett on the three-cone. Played all four years at South Carolina, high chance he’s the third Gamecock off the board this April.

Texans’ GM Nick Caserio is the sole general manager in attendance at South Carolina’s pro day.

Bryan Thomas Jr is an intriguing name. Won’t turn 22 until late-June, had a team-high 7 sacks in 2025. Colts’ Coughlan remains front and center.
