🔟 With one British suspect in custody and three men already detained in Germany, investigators are trying to determine how far the network extends. How much of Hamas’s European presence remains invisible — and how many more quiet connections have yet to surface?

9️⃣ German reports describe the wider case as part of a Hamas logistical network active across Europe – coordinating transport, funding, and procurement through informal criminal channels.

8️⃣ According to ITV News, the suspect is also believed to be the son of a senior Hamas official, a claim not yet confirmed by German authorities, but one that would add a new dimension to the investigation.

7️⃣ He is accused of meeting one of the Berlin cell members while under surveillance, and of facilitating the smuggling of weapons. It was that link, officials say, that brought the case to the attention of the UK’s National Crime Agency.

6️⃣ Then came a fourth suspect. In June, German intelligence began tracing movements that led beyond their borders, to a British citizen allegedly overseeing the transfer of firearms into Germany.

5️⃣ During the raids, investigators found an AK-47 assault rifle, several pistols, and large quantities of ammunition. Prosecutors described the discovery as part of a “foreign-directed operation” aimed at enabling murder on German soil.

4️⃣ Three men were arrested in that operation — identified only as Abed Al G., Ahmad I., and Wael F. M., in line with German privacy law. All are accused of working for Hamas to secure weapons for acts of terror inside Germany.

3️⃣ The story began months earlier in Germany, when counter-terrorism police uncovered a suspected Hamas network spanning Berlin, Leipzig and Oberhausen. Their task, prosecutors say: to prepare violent attacks against Jewish and Israeli institutions.
