The need is still great in Jamaica. People without food and water.
ABOVE AND BEYOND The Jamaica Defence Force Air Wing performed another life-saving mission when they conducted a casualty evacuation of a female resident of Amity who was in urgent need of medical care. She was transported to the Black River Field Hospital for treatment.

We as a diaspora are settlers occupying the Indigenous nations that make up the american and australian continents, however much we use coloniser as a slur against the British. Few care now, like they won't about Palestine in 100 years. Because of Greens etc. recognising israel

Standard comment of the British left are useless and electoral politics won't save us, and this definitely includes Your Party. But not recognising the settler-colonial regime occupying Palestine is correct policy, and the Greens recognising it is wrong and also immoral!
"The Greens believe that we can have diplomatic relations with Israel, and we think that is not okay." @zarahsultana breaks down the difference between Your Party and Zack Polanski's Greens. Watch the full interview, live now.

"Zionist" has been reduced to a slur or opinion hasn't it, like the very related terms "coloniser" and "racist". But these terms have actual and fixed meanings. This is what Zionism means. Recognising the state of israel is Zionist policy, by definition https://t.co/b41WozrkNM

There’s been an attempt to broaden the scope of what “anti-Zionist” includes to dilute the term sufficiently enough that Liberal/Left Zionists can use it to garner social/political capital and survive in “Progressive” spaces. To support the colony’s existence is to be a Zionist.
sure zohran isn't as pro palestine as we want him to be but calling him a zionist is such a stretch im sorry

Back to Mira Nair, her first feature Salaam Bombay! treats the "street children" of Mumbai with such compassion. But Mississippi Masala may show the limits of this compassion. Ugandans mainly props, in a story that is largely about erasure of a real history. So disappointing

They’re almost halfway to the goal! The life saving impact this will have is unimaginable. So many in Darfur have lost hope, and this is such an impactful/important way to let them know they’re not alone or forgotten. https://t.co/qFtMDwI1OR

We recently spoke to @BigIssue about the results of our recent research survey, exploring the reasons why people entered and remained in sex work. You can read the article here: https://t.co/gTOqmDG4Rh (1/9)

The rising cost of living, cuts to benefits and welfare and poorly paid jobs have left some women and disabled people turning to sex work.

Babies of Black mums are 81% more likely to die in neonatal care, an NHS study shows. The research showed ‘how existing biases and injustices in society are reflected in clinical settings, disproportionately affecting women and babies.’ https://t.co/7ZP7HEKUVh

@jenny_gxo @SunBirdZAKH Racism kills. And white doctors & other nonBlack doctors never want to talk about how their anti-Black bias harms us & sometimes kills us.

But… the most fragile baby in the NICU was our Ghanaian friend’s daughter who was born at only 23 weeks, the nurses had dropped her once and eventually she died because of hospital negligence… this research is way overdue

I remember in the NICU, it was 2013, a doctor telling me with a straight face that black female babies were the strongest, followed by black male babies, white female babies and the weakest being white male babies, hence they gave more attention to them.
