Delivery services are cheaper but slower, at least according to our second-annual look at the service along with secret shopping firm @intouchinsight. Check out our first look at the study here: https://t.co/r2FukR6L1v

McDonald's should buy all companies that start with "Mc" so we have just one giant McCompany.

LLMs are getting better, faster, and smarter, and as they do, we need new ways to use them. Applications build with LLMs have transitioned from asking LLMs to write to letting LLMs drive actions. With that, comes new challenges in developing agentic applications.

This is interesting. It may be a sign of frustration over rampant tipping. And it's notable in light of McDonald's turn against the tip credit. But it's also a clear sign to me that the economy is wobbly. Cutting back on tips is an easy way to cut one's cost without actually
‘TIPPING POINT’: Americans are now pushing back against excessive tipping culture — spending 38% less on "guilt tipping" in 2025 compared to a year earlier, as rising living costs force them to scale back. Tipping culture: valid or out of control?

McDonald's left the association this week. But the company's split with the group has seemed to be inevitable for a while. In 2019 the chain stopped lobbying over the minimum wage.
I honestly thought @McDonalds left the NRA over 6 years ago because of the tipped wage issue. They continue to lobby for a $2.13 tipped wage which puts those who pay a non-tipped wage at a disadvantage. This issue has been a sticking point for many many years — I thought the

This is a good thread of the risks associated with buying a franchise, particularly one without a good, established track record. But also, never invest in a franchise as a "side hustle." Guy is lucky, actually. A lot of franchisees end up losing their homes on SBA loans.
I lost 6 figures on 2 Chronic Tacos franchises. Called every broker in town. Zero offers. Not even for pennies. 4 years after shutting down for good, I'm still paying the SBA loan. Here's the expensive truth about franchise ownership:

Not so sure; our data would suggest that higher income people have also started to pull back from restaurant dining. Economic uncertainty is hitting everyone (and foodservice generally indexes higher among higher income consumers)
The McDonalds CEO just gave a reality check for the US economy - and it's ugly for most Americans: "With middle and lower income consumers, they're under a lot of pressure. If you're upper income earning over $100k, things are good. Stock markets are near all time highs.

It depends on the poll you look at, but in the U.S. about 5% of the population is vegetarian. It's never been all that much. In Canada it's 7.6%. That 2.6% is apparently meaningful.
@jonathanmaze As a % of population, Canada has almost double the Indian population (vegetarian)than the US.
