Of course I then called them out for being crooks. Sent an email to his boss, who then told me he’d review everything and get back to me in a week. That was two months ago. Zero responses since.

Told them I was getting them cleaned and would like to clean the contracts up. Grain buyer says sure and he’d let me know. A week later I get text saying they cancelled our contracts and will not be accepting our lentils

They then told me they would send the samples to SGS. After that not a word and we got busy with seeding. A month later I realized they still hadn’t sent me the sample results. I lined up a cleaner to ‘upgrade’ them just as a gesture of good will to get this deal over with

They said ok and sent me a cancellation to sign. Looked at it and immediately saw it was our highest contracts, the first ones we did. And it was the Alberta Pulse Traders, a company LA own. I immediately told him I wasn’t cancelling that and knew what games they were playing

I had quite a few contracts with them, and the last one I did was the lowest. I made the mistake of assuming it was what was left and comp offered same money as that. Told them maybe we need to cancel the contract if they just want to play games.

Then started pulling out of the bin and moving it, taking in a sample each time. Each time quality not good enough. Finally I took some to the competition. Came back a good 2 and they’d take them. Told LA grain this and they said ‘well I guess the last sample was a low 2’

They kept putting off taking our LGL contracts for months with little to no explanation. Finally in February, on Nov delivery contracts, they started citing quality issues despite having taken over half of them without a word.
