be the one for you. It was actually started by Jack Dorsey, the founder of Twitter. The user name part takes some getting used to but the look, feel and flow are almost identical to Twitter. But if you stay here and don't venture out, it was great connecting with you. Live well.

For those of you that may also be considering moving off this place, Threads is getting a lot more traction with travel folks - but it has has an odd feel and flow to it that is quite different to Twitter. If you want to replicate the Twitter experience, then Bluesky might.

I have been to Changi numerous times over the years- today was the first time I've actually been in The Jewell when the shops are open and the water thingy is running. Pretty cool.

But in Japan, in their wisdom they have banned hair straighteners (and curling irons) if they have non-removable batteries!! That's a US$300 bit of kit. 2/2.

Well we are leaving Japan with a pissed off Ying. Her li-ion battery hair straightener was confiscated. We have traveled through dozens of countries and airports with it in her carry on luggage (as you are required to do). 1/2.
