I know it sucks if u lose to such a trivial mistake as missed trigger, but we are playing competitive OPL, it’s ok to lose, as long as u learn from those- I know I will. Don’t take away from game or other people cause it’s new game and there is plenty things to miss #riftbound

Why doesn't Arena's Greatest say "each player starts the game at with one point" or "at the start of the initial players' 1st beginning phase, each player gains 1 point"? Is there a need to be a-symmetrical? I guess future legends might have an ability that requires the trigger?

Relevance comes for instance if my Ravenbloom Student is at The Dreaming Tree, and I want to draw a card. Obviously this is a very fringe case. I've been told it's that the spell resolves completely, so the Student would die before its effect to gain +1 might triggers

Context is that coming from Magic, the prowess mechanic would trigger before the spell resolves. Riftbound you don't get a Ravenbloom trigger if a spell is countered with Defy for example. So is the trigger for "playing" a card on the complete resolution of the spell?

Random @playriftbound rules q: If I have a Ravenbloom Student that is already 3 might, and I target it with a Hextech Ray, when does the Ravenbloom Student get +1 for me playing a spell? Is it before damage, (Student is 4 Might with 3 points of damage) or does the student die?

Also as a commentator your default state is to want to trust the players you’re broadcasting are playing fairly. When playing I’m always on the lookout for opponents either making errors or cheating, but you just don’t get the same feel of the table from the broadcast booth.

Seeing people ask why commentators didn’t pick up on this. When you’re casting you’re looking at the game in a different way. You’re less in the tank than when playing as you have to carry a conversation. It’d be easy to miss these moments looking at your co-commentator/chat
