Yeah. Kobe did this one hour interview and praised Shaq heavily. I've seen them do a 1 on 1 interview on NBA TV that was so much fun. They are buddies. Yet the media uses one quote, where Kobe was laughing, and try to make a big deal out of it.

Just a reminder that WWE made record profits last year. They also have deals with Fox for Smackdown and NBC/USA Network for Raw that are worth over $1 billion over years, plus $1 billion from Peacock/NBC for WWE Network. Plus NXT TV deal, international, etc. Lots of $ there.
I'm told John Laurinaitis has been making the calls to talent and citing budget cuts as the reason for the WWE releases

For what it's worth, I thought Rousey did pretty good in one year of work in WWE. Her promos were better and more natural as a heel. Match quality was fine a lot of the time. If she's mad at fans for not cheering her more when she was a face, get over it. That's wrestling lol.

Baron Corbin beat Chad Gable in the King of the Ring finals. Outstanding match. I wanted Gable to win, but I'm not surprised by the result. Corbin had several good matches in this tournament and that one was the best. Gable was very impressive again. More TV time for him.

Becky Lynch won the Raw & Women's Championship by pinning Ronda Rousey after 22 minutes. Rousey went for her Piper's Pit slam, Lynch had the arms hooked and Lynch covered for the win. It was not as good as a tapout victory would have been, but a win is a win.

Every year, some fans will complain about WWE HOFers. There are rules in pro sports Hall of Fames. Most have to wait 5 years to be on a ballot and I think NHL is three years. The Rock N Roll Hall of Fame has rules. WWE has no rules. It's up to Vince. That's it.
