Watch legislation filed by @jeffroy @TommyVitolo @TeamTram & Sen. Mark Montigny—and the Bankruptcy Court case by @BostonLegalAid @MorganLewisLaw & @boston_pioneer, attacking MA equity-theft laws on constitutional grounds similar to the Tyler case argued by @PacificLegal. 2/2
Yes, lawmakers should repeal equity theft, now that #SupremeCourt has spoken. But while they're at it, more protections are needed as well, to help struggling homeowners & their municipalities alike—before cases reach foreclosure. @BostonBar statement: https://t.co/nFnbfqvl3l 1/

Nitpick occasioned by the #PPPloan data: #Excel needs a ZIP format option to add back the leading zero in #zipcode for New England/NJ. Sure, you can format ZIP as text, but if the zero is not in the data dump, the #ExcelTips workaround is useless. #FOIA

The companies that likely need it most, already subject to the high scrutiny of an active Chapter 11 case, should have access to the Paycheck Protection Program, so they can, you know, preserve their employees’ paychecks.

I told @bosbizgregryan what I tell my clients: Have a plan. Know what your biz can do when you approach your creditors. Anyone can disclose the problem. Be the one to present a workable solution, too.
