We went a total of 48 hours without a Lyda in elected office. I finished my tenure on Monday at 6:00 PM and earlier tonight @griffinlyda_ was elected Treasurer of ATO at UA. The torch has been passed. Serve well!

According to forestry, there are two controlled burns, one in Calera and one in Centreville. Winds are out of the Southwest right now. BTW, @joshclackler, I’m in Tuscany right now helping you understand why you’re having to deal with an inconvenient haze. #thoughtsandprayers

The @CityofHoover celebrated the opening of the Fleming Park canoe launch today. Thanks to the generosity of @WeLoveSignature, our residents and visitors now have access to five additional miles along the Cahaba River. @CahabaRiverkeep

On this day 5 years ago members of the @HooverFireDept answered a call to the Shell at the corner of S. Shades & 150. Once on the scene they swiftly moved into “obstetrician mode” and delivered this young un’ in the front seat of Momma @breeholland22 ‘s van. #neverforget

The @Marine_Marathon was my best race pacing experience to date. Weather, crowds, and a great pace group made it the perfect day. Thx to Elevated Pacing for the opportunity to be a part of this team with the 4:20 group. We nailed our goal at 4:19:32. #mcm2024
