How many different ways have you approached URI templating in your libraries/frameworks/apps? Did you know about IETF RFC 6570?

I appreciate what ONCE is trying to do to challenge SaaS pricing. As a compromise though, could we just please bring back some fairer per-usage billing plans?. Per-seat billing has stopped me using so many tools that I'd be happy to pay for.

This is some of the most powerful writing on commercial software development I've read in a long time. Every paragraph discusses a real problem I've encountered first hand – and occasionally one that I've caused myself.

The software industry seems to be more susceptible than most to producing waste. We spend too much time looking to fix this by optimising our ways of working, and not enough time validating if the path we're on is actually the right one.

On adoption, 'choice' can be a powerful factor to validate that you're on the right path. If teams are mandated to use your tools then it's harder to know if you're helping or hindering.
