as a parent (of a kid who as of now intends to study computer science) I do worry about this a lot, although I have been extremely forthright with her that. * CS is a good thing to study, but.* god only knows what the CS job market will look like in 10 years, so be flexible.

the article doesn't really discuss any of its subjects' qualifications beyond "got a degree". (one of them "learned about the environmental impacts of AI"). I feel bad for them, but also the article didn't really explain much of anything.

I've lost count of how many times I accidentally o3-ed something I only wanted to 4o and had to cancel and rerun, so model routing feels like a win for me even if it's not perfect.
model switcher paradigm will be vindicated in the long run. there is a high switching cost into a very new UX on a useful product, but it’s the right move.

ok, mea culpa time, codex didn't break my app, codex made a change at the exact same time that my openai api balance hit 0, and the error messages were unhelpful (and buried deep in agent traces).
