Just in case you're wondering how long COP29 might continue to overrun, my colleague Joe has all the data and charts you need...
It's likely #COP29 will overrun. But by just how much is harder to say. Since COP1 in 1995, there's been a trend for longer and longer COPs – peaking at a whopping 44 hours overrun in 2019. Last year's COP overran by a modest 23 hours, making it the shortest in 6 years.
