This comprehensive week provided hands-on experience with transformative digital tools that truly make lessons more engaging, personalised, and accessible for students. The group were brilliant and I loved every minute!.

Mizou provided interactive educational chatbots, including scenarios with English waiters for A2 level practice. The Google Gemini Legofy web app went down a storm, creating legofied versions of delegate images.

Advanced applications included Brisk Teaching for Google Quizzes and podcasts, NotebookLM for deep research projects on teaching modernism to B1-B2 students, and Microsoft Forms for assessment creation.

Suno for song creation proved extremely popular with the group. Adobe Express enhanced videos with captions, whilst Book Creator showcased multimedia learning outcomes in interactive e-books.

Creative content generation included Google Gemini storybooks converted to PDFs, Vheer for animation, and EZGIF for animated gifs. We explored Autodraw for AI images and Vidnoz for talking avatars promoting oracy skills.

Turboscribe provided detailed feedback on spoken work covering grammar, vocabulary, creativity, and communication. Audiopen was particularly valuable, converting unstructured thoughts into clear summaries for language learners.

Inclusivity was key. We used Google Translate for personalised phrasebooks, Natural Reader and Helperbird as screen readers, plus text-to-speech tools like TTSMP3, Luvvoice, and Elevenlabs for pronunciation models.

Google Gemini Canvas was a game-changer, creating interactive drag-and-drop gap-fill exercises in plain HTML from existing texts. Participants then hosted these activities on Google Sites for easy student access.

Interactive learning came alive with Directpoll for surveying AI knowledge and ChatGPT analysing results. Participants developed gap-fill activities using Wordwall and CLOZEit for engaging student practice.

We practised creating narrow reading texts of approximately 50 words each on specific topics, complete with comprehension questions and answer keys. Also covered pen pal postcards in basic English about hobbies and new skills.

One participant successfully used ChatGPT to create a Personalised Intervention Programme for 5-year-old students with mental and speech disabilities, focusing on adjective comparison and sound correction. They found it "very helpful.".

ChatGPT proved invaluable for resource creation. Participants generated lesson plans, reading texts, pen pal letters, and gap-fill activities using the PREPARE Framework-based Lesson Planning and Worksheet Prompt Builder by @theaieducatorx.

We started with foundational tools: A Course Padlet for resource sharing, Google Docs for links and prompts, and Wheel of Names for interactive engagement combined with AI-generated images. ChatGPT served as our central AI platform throughout.

Our main focus was exploring how digital tools and AI can effectively enhance teaching and student learning. The sessions offered practical applications for integrating technology into classrooms, making teaching more engaging, personalised, and efficient.

This week, I had an absolutely brilliant time in Dublin, where I had the pleasure of training a wonderful, enthusiastic and hardworking diverse group of educators. Delegates came from Austria, Italy, Spain, Latvia, Romania, and Poland.
