Incredible two days challenging magnet students from @SparrowsPointHS to explain factors that are affecting the health of the Little Gunpowder Falls and what lies downstream. We even investigated biofilms using the digital scopes! @BCPSSci @BCPSOutdoorSci

Nice way to wrap up the spring season with some amazing @DundalkMS grade 7 Ss. We explored a variety of aquatic friends, practiced applying chemistry skills to water quality testing and reviewed big ideas about energy. @BCPSSci @BCPSOutdoorSci

Hooked them today with some Grade 7 Chemical magic. What a fun group of @DundalkMS aspiring chemists! We plated metal, created our own colorful pH scale and made solids from liquids. Thanks for a great co-teaching experience! @BCPSOutdoorSci @BCPSSci

Recess and play are SEL. They help decrease aggressive and off task behavior as well as decease anxiety and depression . They increase self regulation of emotions and improve academic performance! Let them play!

Admin, when you drop in the class for a visit, maybe check to see if the teacher needs anything, like running to restroom, or bring them a water/ coffee. The little things are the big things in the daily grind!

I can still remember my first look at protozoans as a grade 7 student at Pine Grove Jr. Nothing better than bringing that same experience to @DeerParkMMS today using digital microscopes. @budinger03 @BCPSSci @BCPSOutdoorSci

Standardized tests aren't designed to reflect any real grade level competencies, but to create a norm distribution where half the students feel like failures, even before they have had a chance to experience real success in school.
