Robotics Club competition part 2. Teams battle in a mini jousting and tug of war tournaments. Robots were designed for strength and programmed for offense. @PanteraPUSD

Our Dr. King club members created comfort kits along with Golden Springs club. Working together to help others. Thanks to Hersheys Kindness Grant. @PanteraPUSD

Robotics Club continued beyond the competition engineering robots with creativity and purpose. Students displayed great creativity and enjoyed time building and coding for our own sumo competition. @PanteraPUSD

Science and math. Students developed their own recipes for soil based on ratios of various ingredients. We hope to grow healthy radishes.

Happy Pi Day. Discovering Pi through measuring circles. Team Yina measured over 50 lids and was only 0.04 from our magical 3.14!

Failing Forward. We are focused on building a growth mindset. Seeing failure as an opportunity for growth and success. We learn from successful people that have failed and we practice learning from our own failures of building a catapult. @PanteraPUSD

Day 3 at AOS Science Camp. Exploration, survival, and a couple of special guests. Beautiful day exploring the forest and finishing off with an interactive game of Clue.

Day 2 of our AOS Science Camp. Science lessons taught out in nature. Outdoor challenge of the rock wall (zipline) and night hike was today’s activities.

First day of science camp at Thousand Pines. Great trail guides and staff of AOS makes outdoor education fun. Great experiences and successes they will remember.

Discovery Cube trip was fun interactive way of learning and exploring. Thanks to City of Diamond Bar and WVWD for helping to sponsor this trip.

A bit late but wanted to share our fun Halloween celebration. It’s been a busy couple of weeks. Sixth grade should be celebrated in elementary where they can just be kids.

Dr. King’s Kindness Club sponsoring morning games for our early risers. What a fun way to start the day. Happy October. :)

Thermal Energy Transfer project aka solar ovens. Fun way of bringing abstract to concrete application. Having fun while learning to build creative projects.

Learning techniques using oil pastels through our district’s art lessons. Foundational knowledge to build from. Great way to foster creativity.

Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month through presentations, research, and sharing recipes and cultural information. Some spent time with parents or grandparents cooking together to learn more about traditional foods.

Reciting poetry is a great way to build confidence with public speaking. Our first original poems on best childhood memories were performed for each other. Students were very supportive of each other. Great job Patriots!!!
