These headlines are two days apart. On Wednesday, a pastor and mayor in Alabama was outed for secretly dressing in drag. The condemnation was swift and severe. Today, he took his own life. Anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric has deadly consequences. Please join me in praying for his family.

@WhatToExpect @RSCBayArea It turns out I have too much fluids. And I have a pulmonary edema. Make sure to always question getting that much liquids through IV, I have learned. I still am short of breath when walking. Talking is easier though. OB doc prescribed diuretic. Hopefully will be better. #IVF

@WhatToExpect @RSCBayArea Ok so the first ER gave me too much saline. I had lost at least 1L of blood during surgery, so they transferred me to ER. They gave me 3L of saline on top of my 1L. Yesterday, I went to a different ER, where they did a ton of tests first before doing anything. #IVF #miscarriage

@WhatToExpect @RSCBayArea I got a bunch of tests in the ER waiting room. And now im an ER room. I will likely get iron transfusion or blood transfusion. But I will find out when I see the doc. #IVFJourney #IVF #miscarriage

@WhatToExpect @RSCBayArea They kept me for 4 more hours. And then discharged me again. Today I went back to OB since I have fatigue and shortness of breath just from talking. She sent me to ER again. #IVFJourney #miscarriage

@WhatToExpect @RSCBayArea I had my miscarriage D&C yesterday. There was an unexpected 20% blood loss (about 1 L). Hemoglobin was 13, but was 10 after surgery. OB doc decided to send me to ER. Had total 3L saline. They discharged me, but then I nearly passed out, so they gave me 1L more saline. #IVF

@WhatToExpect @RSCBayArea Last Tuesday, I went in for my first appt with my OB and first OB ultrasound. They found no heartbeat. It’s been really tough. I had no signs of miscarriage. My D&C is scheduled for tomorrow. I told myself that I expect at minimum one miscarriage but still tough. #IVFJourney #IVF

Subchorionic hematoma can cause a blood clot outside of the sac where it got separated from the uterus. Since I no longer am bleeding, and I don’t have cramps, I’m hopeful it’s just this small issue. #IVF #IVFJourney #Pregnancy Bonus picture, fetus at 6wks4days.

I called the oncall IVF clinic doctor and she told me to save the clots for tissue testing, and she just called back to schedule an ultrasound for today. I was certain I miscarried until I started doing research. Apparently subchorionic hematoma is when the sac separates a little

I stopped posting because this is now X. Update: I had a successful transfer & implantation. Ultrasound had 152bpm heartbeat at 6 weeks4days. I am now 7weeks2days. I felt it is important to log what just happened to me. I just had a giant blood clot the size of a thumb come out.

When I need to go to sleep, I can’t sleep. When I need to work, all I want to do is sleep. Why you gotta do me like this, brain?

So basically now ALL meds stop, including estrogen and all progesterone. And I will get instructions from my case manager for my next appointments. On to sushi for now! 🍣 Lesson learned: eat sushi *before* my FET (Frozen Embryo Transfer). #FET #IVF #IVFJourney

Welp! It didn’t stick, oh well, onto the next step. Dr gave me the option to delay by one month to do an ERA test (Endometrial Receptivity Analysis). I said “Sure why not, more data!” Then I asked “So can I eat sushi now?” She seemed tickled by that question. #IVF #IVFJourney
