14:59 The entire space reserved for walkways and cycle lanes for Plainview road in South B has been turned into kiosks and car wash structures. Makes walking there dangerous. This has got to stop, we need our space @NMS_Kenya @KURAroads via @rmobisa

Some lessons from around the world: the most successful global leaders in fighting coronavirus have communicated clearly, displayed empathy, and always favored science over politics.

We forced people traveling back into mandatory quarantine & charged them. We introduced mandatory isolation for Pts with Covid & charge them. We introduced curfew and quarantine at own cost. We arrest people for not wearing masks. So what’s the duty of GOK?

Wah! Kenya is full of #$^%. We do not have enough testing kits. Healthcare workers are buying own PPE(I bought mine with my own money). But we are here testing bored people who do not meet any criteria. Shamba la wanyama indeed! @MOH_Kenya what's the criteria here?

And just to clarify what protective gear we are asking for: -latex gloves -respirator masks -Surgical masks -Disposable gowns -Boots Goggles Most of these can be made locally and I really dont get why we are not on a 24hour coordinated production to urgently bridge gap

It appears Covid19 is the revolution many African nations have been waiting for. It has exposed the political class (who failed to develop local health systems & can't travel abroad) and religious charlatans with no miracle cures either. People, don't let this period go to waste.

When you next pick up your voters card, I hope you remember this moment when you were completely alone figuring systemic gaps that exposed you to a virus, possible hunger, anxiety, job loss, endless stress and shameless dissapaerance of leaders when you needed them. I hope!

The amount of doctors/nurses strikes I followed last year, the amount of Govts who kept releasing statements condemning them for wanting the most basic of things, the number of people who branded them selfish. For wanting the basics. The basics we need now.

To paraphrase a colleague & great community leader, “Thanks to #covid19kenya We have realized the utter stupidity of paying one MP the salary of 10- 20 doctors ...” Kenyan MPs should be paid no more than high school head teachers #KomeshaCorona @AmnestyKenya @CrimeSiPoaKenya
