Small islands contribute very little to our total plastic waste, yet often they are left to bare the brunt. @CommonSeas were at last weeks negotiations for a #GlobalPlasticsTreaty helping small islands to get their voices heard.

Today I wrote to @Independent about the once-in-a-lifetime-opportunity to secure a strong and comprehensive #GlobalPlasticTreaty that protects Small Island Developing States against the existential #plasticpollution threat they face. The stakes could not be higher.
