It is hard to reproduce interventions when they aren’t fully reported in the literature. Manual therapy intervention reporting in low back pain trials is similar to manual therapy reporting for neck pain and exercise reporting for low back/neck pain.

79.4% of trials & 91.7% of systematic reviews published in physiotherapy journals had discrepancies between what was registered & what was published, with very few addressing reason for discrepancy

Lots of room for improvement with HEP prescription for LBP. It seems doubtful that some trials did prescribe a HEP but simply did not report the details.

“HEPs not regularly prescribed in exercise trials for LBP. Considerable variation in prescribing HEPs & monitoring exercise adherence in trials of exercise for LBP. No consistent method to measure adherence, & adherence % varies widely.” @jlyoung2 @JOSPT
