As evident by the art you’ve shared here, Woman of Tomorrow is a swords and sorcery story set in space. Ruthye is a princess, Kara has a sword, they travel across medieval fantasy lands, etc. The film seems to abandon much of that aesthetic for a very dry and bland sci-fi look.

Gambit and Rogue not getting any unique interactions with Sai is kind of disappointing. It's like they're really afraid to touch Kwannon and Betsy. Betsy is one of Rogue's oldest friends, and she and Gambit have the same fierce dedication to their loved ones.
