Once you buy a camera, you’d basically want to stay with that system as it’s an expensive cost to switch. So stop asking others what to buy and find out what works for you.

Camera output all look good these days in terms of quality and a variety of focal lens are available from each brand. So honestly, what matters most is your budget and if you *think* or believe a brand is better than another.

Go and rent the latest/current camera bodies and have a shoot-out to test out responsiveness, handling, button/menu layout to just be sure you like the physical camera body. Rent via @BorrowLenses and/or @LensProToGo depending on availability.

If you have to ask the general public what camera you should get, you still don’t know wtf you’re doing (and want/need to shoot). And that’s ok. Here’s what I’d do instead:

Now of course, Lea can sing even at a young age but again, so can hundreds if not thousands of young girls auditioning for the role. She approached the audition from Claude and Alain's perspective. So if you're pitching to a prospect, keep Lea in mind:

Claude said, "When you meet someone for the first time, it's all happening in he first 30 seconds. When she walked in the room and she opened her mouth to start singing "On My Own," in 30 seconds we knew we had something there that we haven't found before."

For her audition, Lea decided to sing "On My Own" which is THE song from Les Mis, the musical that the duo created in 1980. In her words, she chose it because "It would represent my voice as closely as possible resembling what they were looking for. It was an audition tactic."

After the success of Les Misérables, Frenchmen Claude-Michel Schönberg and lyricist Alain Boubil started to work on their second musical called Miss Saigon, a tragic tale of a doomed romance. They literally searched the world for their Kim and stopped at Lea.

This Filipina played a Disney princess *again* in 1998 as the singing voice of Mulan. But let's go back to her 1989 audition that catapulted this young singer born in the Philippines. 🇵🇭 Miss Saigon was being produced by a very important duo.

If you don't know who Lea is, I know damn well you literally heard her. She played Kim in Broadway's Miss Saigon in 1989 at age 18. She became a Disney princess as the singing voice of Princess Jasmine in Aladdin in 1992. She played Éponine in Les Misérables a year later.

So despite being initially disappointed with not having a large paid group, I felt that I was able to give something even better to my one student: a truly customized experience that I knew would elevate Kevin's headshot skillset.

4. Apply feedback immediately When I run this headshot clinic, I have a model present so students can immediately apply their newfound directing skills. This time, I was able to give Kevin feedback in which he was able to apply on a second session with the model.
