A very nice win for the Mets tonight. Let's hope this gets them going. They need to hit the next two games against two very bad Atlanta pitchers. Mets need to sweep this series and get it going again.

This is what happens when your starter last 4 innings and the bullpen is asked to pitch 5 innings, and also the Mets scored no tack on runs after scoring the 6 runs.

Well, it looks like no Robert to the Mets.

Although the White Sox have spoken with a number of teams about Luis Robert Jr., sources say it's more likely he stays with Chicago through the Trade Deadline. The White Sox would likely pick up his $20M option for 2026 and hope for more of what they've seen over the past month.

I hope all you David Stearns lovers are happy. This guy does not have a clue. Giving up all that for a 34 year old rent a player is insane.

The way David Stearns is doesn’t align with this trade. Very frugal GM who’s known for his smart spending habits and value/feel for the market. A bit odd. At the end of the day, you have to pay a price. Wasn’t expecting this for a 34 year old rental.

According to Passan's article this morning the Yankees, Phillies, Cubs, Blue Jays and Mariners are teams that are "all in" at the trading deadline. Mets are not. Mets just adding but not "all in". Expect small BP moves from small market, never go for a championship Stearns.

Per Jeff Passan: "New York Mets: Adding, but not all-in". Should we have expected anything different from small market Stearns. No wonder he has never won a championship and probably never will.

I guess Stearns would rather give away games than pitch real prospects.

The Mets are now 3-9 in games started by Brazoban, Tidwell, Blackburn, Hagenman, and Waddell . Worth noting Nolan McLean has a 2.52 ERA across 60+ innings in a league where the average ERA is 4.69.

Listening to David Stearns press conference, he offered very little words of encouragement. He basically said the Mets are a good team. Some of things they did well earlier, are going poorly now. He also said that it is up to the players to get out of it. Translation: No help.

The Mets are now a one man offense. The only RBI man in this lineup is Pete Alonso.

This is the worst team I ever saw with RISP. This team is a complete joke with RISP.

Just an amazing feeling to be a Mets fan right now. Team playing great and winning and still more to come from their best players. Keep it going.

I thought Met fans said before the series Baty would hit in Sacramento because he hits in minor league parks. I guess he only hits in minor league parks against minor league pitchers.

Carlos Mendoza says Sean Manaea experienced discomfort while ramping up and an MRI revealed inflammation in his oblique and he received a PRP injection. He will be shut down for two weeks.

That was a very nice start from Tylor Megill. He got a little unlucky on that strikeout that turned into a baserunner. Hopefully, the bullpen can hold it for him.

I am really quite surprised how little respect the Mets are getting from the national media. Most national media pick the Mets for third place and DO NOT pick them for a WC berth either. They pick SD and AZ over the Mets. The NY media and fans are much higher on the Mets.
