Dr Berman is right: As Canadians we must not allow this hate against our Jewish friends and neighbours to take hold of ppl, it leads to violence.
Numbers don’t lie . A minority group comprising <2% of Canada’s population targeted in 19% of REPORTED hate crimes. Almost 1000 hate-related attackers in 2024. That’s not protesting Israel. That’s not support Palestinians . That’s attacking Jews in Canada . And that is just wrong.

THIS is how "anti-Zionism" slips effortlessly into antisemitism. While discussing Gaza, a leading UK radio host shares a claim UK Jewish children are taught in 'Shabbat School' that 'one Jewish life is worth thousands of Arab lives, and that Arabs are cockroaches to be crushed.'.

This kind of behaviour & intolerance should have zero place in our schools. All of us- Jewish ppl included- are part of the same family & are fully human. Provinces and school boards must take this hate seriously & discipline/remove staff & teachers as necessary.
This is just so gross. Imagine telling that to anyone let alone a 6 year old child. But that's the kind of hatred and attacks that Jewish Canadians suffer from on a daily basis. A new government report on antisemitism in schools details the very scary rise in Jew-hatred across

I’m not a religiously-affiliated person and I do not attend services, but it’s sad that this pastor and congregation in Germany are getting harassed by anti-🇮🇱 protests. Ppl of all faiths (& no faith) deserve freedom of worship & assembly without harassment. 👍 to bubble zones.

Confession: I’ll take #mustard over mayo on a sandwich or burger *every time.*. This may make me an outlier by local standards: 95% (or more) of local eateries will add mayo by default, even if not explicitly called out on menus’ descriptions of burgers & sandwiches. .

Of all countries in the Middle East, 🇮🇱 is the most closely aligned with liberal Western values. My hope is that it can influence neighbouring countries (via diplomacy, Abraham Accords etc) to make progress in these issues.

I wish there was more content moderation on this platform and other social media platforms. Calling for the killing of a group of ppl (Jews) should merit an automatic ban as well.
Antisemitism is unsettlingly ubiquitous on social media. Anyone who denies its pernicious and pervasive presence—on digital platforms and in society at large—is willfully blind to a reality staring us all in the face.
