Cybersecurity guy, day job @NSF (tweets are mine), @SWSISsec founder, chair @ACM @USTPC. Chocolate fiend. He/him. Mastodon @[email protected]

Considering moving my investments from @Fidelity to @Vanguard_Group. Fidelity is jumping on the foolish bitcoin bandwagon, and Vanguard is accurately pointing out that bitcoin and other crypto currencies are a train wreck harming investors.

Trying to transfer a domain from @ipower to another provider. Website fails; tech sup says to change email to solve it. Still fails & blocks transfer for 60 days, so have to pay for domain renewal & try again in 2 months. Tech sup refuses to help, even though it's their fault.

For those few people left here, I'm blogging about my 3 month assignment in Jakarta at https://t.co/02ZQ80NITW. So far mostly writing about tourist stuff, but planning to write about work once I figure out how to get approval.

I want a device so that when someone pulls up next to me with the music blaring so loud my car shakes, it'll automatically blast them back with 120dB of Barry Manilow or Teletubbies. Just sayin.

As a Purdue alum, I think this is a great sign of leadership in the post-COVID (sic) world.
What a lovely moment. New @PurduePresident Mung Chiang decided to forego a formal investiture ceremony and instead run with students in a relay run, followed by a faculty-staff cookout at his home, to celebrate the launch of his term and Purdue's #DayofGiving. @LifeAtPurdue

Today's word: "Powerpointlessness". Giving a technical talk without use of PowerPoint, such that you need to pay attention to the speaker instead of the screen. A very rare skill among people in the tech field.
