The Dingo Fence in Australia is longer than the Great Wall of China. It serves a single purpose: keep dingoes out of grazing land.  What do you think about the Dingo fence? #ausgeo #australia #dingo #dingofence #farming

The "War on #Dingoes".... A Historical and Ongoing Conflict.... Since European colonisation, Dingoes have been widely viewed as threats to livestock, particularly sheep and cattle. This led to the implementation of control measures like shooting, trapping, and poisoning,

Australia is probably one of the harshest places on the earth to live. The #Dingo has a hard time out there - and due to the harshness of the environment - it is also one of the places where #Dingoes manage to survive, relying on their survival instincts. Dingoes survive because

I wish people would stop comparing #Dingoes to domestic dogs.....we need to not do that, because they are their own species. There is no comparison❗️ Nor compare them to Wolves as Dingoes are not pack animals, they are solitary animals that live in family groups. 👌 There's

#Dingoes are not a threat to other native species.... They have evolved with them for many thousands of years.....Of course Dingoes eat prey. It does not necessarily mean they threaten prey populations though. Context is crucial❗️ Dingoes are indeed considered a native species

#Dingoes are exactly the right size to fit their purpose in the environments that Australia offers its natural herbivorous species. Utterly FIT for the PURPOSE nature intended. Dingoes play a crucial role in the Australian ecosystem, and their size is well-suited to their role

💞 Sitting here watching my babies I feel so privileged and I can't think of anything more satisfying than living with #Dingoes. Captive Dingoes don't need to hunt or defend their territory, but they still display characteristics and behaviour of wild Dingoes. What I have

#Dingoes are known for their speed and agility, allowing them to traverse diverse terrains. Dingoes are especially capable of significant speed and endurance when pursuing prey. Some people say they have clocked their Dingoes doing anything from 60/70 km in bursts when younger.

When we say a #Dingo is a "keystone species," it means it plays a crucial role in maintaining the structure and function of its ecosystem. A keystone species has a disproportionately large effect on its environment relative to its abundance. Their presence is critical for

"Wild dog" programs are, in effect, #Dingo control.‼️ Don't be blinded by the guise of "wild dog", there aren't any on Australia ‼️ Dingo control disrupts the complexity of heirarchy within their groups. Although #Dingoes are often seen alone, most belong to socially integrated
