Time and time again we have asked children to make sacrifices for adults. I am deeply concerned for the short and long-term health and well-being of Ontario’s children and youth.

Our children are missing out on so much. Outdoor recreation spaces like playgrounds are among the last places where kids can just be kids. With proper precautions, these places can be safe. We urge the government to reconsider these closures
Now is the time to pull out all stops to drive down coronavirus spread. But, we must not forget kids. Their learning, development and mental health are at risk. We are calling on @ONgov to keep playgrounds and other outdoor rec spaces for families open with masking. #KidsInCrisis

Instead of wishing women a happy women’s day let’s acknowledge that this past year women took the brunt of the pandemic as mothers, caregivers, PSWs, nurse, teachers, etc and a disproportionate # left the workforce demonstrating that the burden of care still falls on women.
