My first officially published
#WonderWoman
cover for DC. It's the variant for issue 758. I had been thinking of drawing a dimly lit, cloaked Diana for a little while. Thanks to my awesome editor for almost always letting me do whatever I want with these variant covers.
This was a long conversation. Enjoyable, but a lot of back and forth. Even after we finished our traditional conversation she called me back digitally and wanted to keep talking.. mostly about her butt.
My variant cover for Green Lantern 9. We always see the lanterns with guns and war planes and tech weapons. I had this idea to have Hal commanding a pack of pit bulls, but editorial wasn't with that so I offered lions instead. Really glad they were cool with that.
I hope everyone gets to feel this kind of love. The Rogue & Gambit kind where u pursue someone passionately until u finally touch them but are shocked into paralysis as they drain your energy leaving u completely debilitated if not dead 😆❤️🔥
My variant cover for Rogue & Gambit 3
My cover for Thanos
#3
. I saw Alita: Battle Angel while I was working on this which inspired me to intensify Gamora. I also love Starship Troopers which was inspiration for the aliens. Super fun piece to work on over all!
I received a commission request recently asking for a drawing similar to the fundraiser series I completed a little while back. Really enjoy doing stuff like this.
My cover for the newly revived Penthouse Comics! The only criteria was the female form so I went with a theme I always enjoy exploring.. tranced out women in high abstract fashion next to giant spirit animals. Play some Sade when you look at this.
I painted this last year and hadn't thought about it until recently. The black is gouache but all of the anatomy is mechanical pencil. I wanted to mess with the contrast of big sloppy brush strokes next to meticulous meditative hatching and see if I could create harmony. 11x17in
My cover for
@Marvel
's new "What If" book featuring Magik. Guess what happens in the story. Painting this one was really enjoyable and fulfilling for me.
This was a fulfilling piece to paint. My variant cover for House of X issue 3. I was asked to choose any X character and draw them in several variations of their costume over the years.
#Psylocke
I painted this traditionally a few years ago but always thought it had more potential. So recently I covered it with a layer of digital polish and added some background.
I'm excited to start showing my covers for
#Catwoman
! My editor pitched the story as a return to her seductive femme fatale origin. Also shout out to my friend John & his love for Cardi B which inspired the Red Bottoms 😂

Death commission for

10 years ago I was in Madrid w/ my ex girlfriend & we got 2 see a live Flamenco show. It was one of the most powerful performances I've ever seen. So when
@Remender
asked me 2 paint Maria for a
#DeadlyClass
cover I did my best to capture the energy of that experience
@ImageComics
This is a personal piece I've been working on amongst some others lately. I consider this kind of work as a catalyst to have conversation with the mediums. I started with the intent to be taught not to prove.
Even when my commission list is closed sometimes requests come in that I won't turn down. The Matrix is basically my favorite movie of all time so.. here's Trinity.
I pushed my abstractions further with my variant cover for Catwoman Uncovered. My favorite images of Batman are when he's deep in shadow and looks more like a spirit or an urban demon as opposed to a man in an armored suit so I wanted to do a version of Catwoman like that.
Another traditional painting I never thought was quite finished. "Finished" barely applies to works like this because there's no true destination. Only paths that lead to other paths. They are exercises in decision making. I worked on it more digitally & ended my journey here.
My cover for Thanos 2. I've always been fond of the biblical tale of Judith and Holofernes so when my editor pitched this concept to me that inspiration immediately came to mind.
This was a cool commission and probably the most time I've put into a traditional piece in a while. All the client asked for was the theme of "A girl reading" and said any way I wanted to interpret that. So I did a girl reading the stars. Mixed media.

for Wondercon. I need to work on my patience for drawing tech stuff. I've been spoiled by Photoshop because making geometric shapes and angles is so streamlined. I tried to make her look like a Russian escort but she ended up looking like Olivia Wilde.
A few of the commissions I painted during
#Megacon
last weekend.
Death, Erica Slaughter, Catwoman, and Harley Quinn
As always, love and appreciation to everyone who stopped by my table
My variant cover for issue 1 of the new Uncanny X-Men series written by

coming out in November. This is an exclusive variant cover available through

. Really enjoyed painting this!
My second of 4 connecting covers for Marvel's new Inferno series. This is the second because I think the marketing deadlines were a little off so I'll post the first and others as they emerge.
#Magneto
Hey everyone! I've published a new art book! Silver and Soot is the best of my white & black work over the last couple of years.
This is a limited edition and will not be reprinted once sold out.
Your support means very much to me!
I was in Colorado Springs last week for a signing at
@Ironlioncollect
and made some time to paint a few commissions. The store is beautiful and the owners and staff are such cool people. I had a great time. Catwoman 9x12in Mixed media
