I don’t know about you, but lately I’ve been thinking about how little you actually need to build a functional Flutter app. Just align some widgets, pick a state management, handle local storage, and make a few HTTP calls and you’re good.

10/.For small, focused projects Flutter Web is actually awesome. Fast to build, beautiful UI, super smooth dev experience. Would I use it again? 100%. Especially under pressure😂.

9/.So yeah, I ended up shipping a functional, fully working web app overnight. Here’s the link if you're curious (in French 🇫🇷):.👉 But here’s the real takeaway 👇

8/.Switched the whole project to Flutter Web. Used Supabase as backend (already had a DB from another project, just created a new table). Built the UI, wired it up, deployed on Netlify….And it worked. Like, really worked 🎯.

7/.Flutter does web. 🤯.I had never used Flutter seriously for the web, but I figured….Let’s try. At worst, I gain experience. And so, I made a pivot that changed everything.

6/.Deployment hell. Tried Netlify, Staticapp, Vercel….Either the page didn’t load, or the form wouldn’t submit due to CSP issues 😤.Ready to quit. But then I remembered something… 👇.

5/.After form submission, users were redirected to Formspree’s confirmation page. As a user ? That feels weird and breaks the flow 😩.So I rewrote the logic using AJAX to handle the submission smoothly.That fixed it. But then came the next problem…

4/.My first thought: keep it dead simple. HTML + JS + Formspree/Basin for data collection. Opened VS Code, got to work… and boom, it worked! 💥 .But then… UX nightmare 👇

3/.I wasn’t assigned to do it. I wasn’t motivated. And worst of all… I had no idea how to build it 😅.Still, on Saturday night, yes, just hours before Sunday I cracked. I opened my laptop. Time to figure it out. 💻.
