Strength is built from each of us being able to afford a decent life. Strength to face up to our military crisis and deter Putin. Strength to confront the burning planet before us and invest to stop it burning further. (6/7).

Crisis 3: Our planet is burning fuelling crop failure, extreme weather, and conflict. We see the impacts of our climate crisis today: in our food prices, floods, heatwaves, and the boats that arrive on our shores. (5/7).

Crisis 2: Our peace is at risk. Putin is attempting to redraw European borders by force. If he succeeds in Ukraine, he will not stop there. He threatens peace in Europe and democracy worldwide. (4/7).

Crisis 1: Living standards are stagnant and too few people can afford a decent life. This is fuelling anger and is leading to many losing faith in democracy altogether. (3/7).

To protect our nation & meet these crises, we need strength in unity. We are stronger when we share the same goals, look out for one another, and where each of us is doing well. That is strength built from our Labour values. The strength we need to confront our 3 crises. (2/7).

We live in dangerous times. Living standards are stagnant, Putin threatens war in Europe, and our rapidly changing climate is making us poorer. We need a new vision to rise to these existential crises. A vision of strength in unity. (🧵 below and link at end). (1/7).
