As brilliant as our transfer window has been, Geuhi is a big loss imo. Defence is our big weakness and with Konate injured/inconsistent and Leoni inexperienced, we only really have VVD. Really hope we get Geuhi over the line in Jan otherwise winning anything might be tough #LFC.

As much as I love being back in GP, I have not missed getting a cold every other week. I feel so unwell and I expect massive amounts of sympathy for getting ill in the line of duty or I'll be accusing everyone of lack of empathy.

Had a mild panic and quickly checked HealthRota to make sure I wasn't on call this bank holiday weekend. Then I remembered that I'm back in wonderful GP land where I never have to work on weekends or bank holidays. Good luck to everyone on call! You'll be in my thoughts.

I really hope that this was just a case of miscommunication between the patient and the person at the A+E reception that day and maybe they didn't read my letter. I only posted this because It's just scary to think that someone in A+E saw these symptoms and discharged them home.

I feel like as doctors we're so used to exam culture and looking for tricks in questions or complicated explanations because "it can't be that simple can it?".Whereas in reality, it's usually the simple explanation which is the correct one.

As a Gynae SHO I had a referral from A+E about a girl with recurrent vaginal bleeding associated with abdo pain which happened monthly and self resolved. The doc thought it was weird because she didn't have a coil or any contraception. It was her period. She was on her period.

I know it's a minor thing to complain about and I know our work is rewarding and incredible. But it's so difficult to find the motivation to keep doing these intense, long shifts that are emotionally and physically draining if you don't feel your work is valued by your employer.

It's such a tragic state of affairs for the NHS that I have to pay £8 to park my car on site so I don't have to walk to the middle of nowhere for street parking after I've finished my 12 hour shift and it's midnight. It's no wonder that NHS employees feel undervalued.

Ramadan Mubarak everyone! I'm starting my Ramadan on night shifts so really nothing is changing for me.

In all my years of flying, I've never once reclined my seat because I've always been too shy to inconvenience the person sitting behind me. This time I ALMOST did it but I chickened out at the last second. In other news, overthinking stupid things is a great way to kill time.

Me: "So how can I help?".Patient: "I've been. spotting?".Me: "Which one?".P: ". what?".Me: "Birds? Train? People?".P: "No. None of those".Me: ". oh. Oh! I get you!".P *laughing*: "Why would I come and see you to say I was birdspotting?".Me: ". I did think it was a bit strange.".

Me: So how can I help?.Patient: I suffer from *rare medical condition*.Me: *Never heard of it*: Yes.P: I've been having lots of symptoms from it. But my meds did change and they said that might happen.Me: *clueless*: OK.P: I'll give it time, thanks doc!. Another happy patient.

Had a patient get annoyed at me because they were an hour late for their appointment with no excuse and I was too busy to see them. In what other service is this ok? If you take your car for an MOT an hour late, I guarantee they'll turn you away. It's honestly so frustrating.
